IAHA Director Named Senior Designer at Sally Corp.

Sally Corporation has selected Dan Faupel, formerly vice president of Creative Visions, to join the Sally design team as senior designer.

Faupel, who worked with Creative Visions, an animation and themed environment company in St. Louis, for the past ten years, brings a wide range of experience in art direction and design to his new position. With Creative Visions, he was involved in projects for Six Flags, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Knott’s Berry Farm and other parks and attractions.

In addition to his design work, Faupel has experience as a production manager and project manager, hands-on finish artist and sculptor. He has also taught seminars at tradeshows around the country on such topics as FX fabrication, life-casting and sculpting.

“We conducted an extensive search to find the right person for this position,” says Sally Corporation CEO John Wood, “…someone with a wide range of capabilities and experience who could hit the ground running: Dan is a great fit and has already put his expertise to work on several new Sally projects.”

Faupel is currently on the board of directors for the International Association of Haunted Attractions and is chairman of IAHA’s vendor committee. As senior designer, Faupel reports directly to Drew Hunter, Sally’s vice president-creative design.
